CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2008 AWARDS
The Alumni Council Association is seeking nominations for the 2008 McManus and Davenport Awards. 

The McManus Award was established in 1989 by the Alumnae Association of Mother Theodore Guerin High school in honor of Sister Frances Alma McManus, SP. Sister Frances Alma was the first principal of Mother Theodore Guerin High School serving from 1962-1969. 

The Davenport Award was established in 2005 by the Guerin College Prep High School’s administration in honor of Brother Walter Davenport, C.S.C. Brother Walter served as the first principal of Holy Cross High School from 1961-1971. He returned to Holy Cross High School as the school’s second president from 1988-1994. 

Each award is presented annually at the Baccalaureate Mass in May at which time the recipients formally address the student body.The recipients must have graduated 10 years ago and demonstrate characteristics that distinguish them in their community, professional, and family life by:

1) Showing achievement through service to the community, parish and family, or

2) Showing achievement in his/her career, or

3) A combination of the above
