TUITION AND FEES
As costs continue to grow, Guerin College Preparatory High School is committed to providing a quality high school education at a cost-effective price. Today, the average cost of educating a Guerin Prep student is $10,000; however, due to our continual fund-raising efforts, we are able to offer this year's tuition at only $7,500.

Books & Fees will vary according to course selections
Laptop Lease (Fr./Soph./Jr.)= $600
Tuition payments can be made in four ways:
Option 1: Yearly = $7,400
($100 discount when paid in full)
Option 2: Semester = 2 x $3,750
Option 3: Quarterly = 4 x $1,875
Option 4: Monthly = 10 x $750
Financial Aid Timeline, Procedures and Options
All applications must be submitted to Private School Aid Service by Jan. 31, 2009.
Guerin Prep High School will use an outside service (Private School Aid Service) to process financial aid applications for the 2009-2010 school year. Applications are available to current freshmen, sophomores and juniors starting Jan. 10, 2009 in the Guerin Prep High School business office and by downloading a pdf from the section below "Financial Aid Applications." In addition, financial aid applications are given to all incoming freshmen who take the entrance exam at Guerin Prep in January.
Guerin Prep will mail announcements of financial aid awards no later than early March 2008. Any financial aid awarded after this March date will depend on the circumstances of the request and the availability of funds.

Important Directions: please note, when applying for financial aid, you must
1) Complete and return the first page, "Financial Aid Information Sheet," to the Guerin Prep High School business office by Jan. 31.
2) Mail the Private School Aid Service Student Aid Form (the pages that follow the "Information Sheet" in the same application packet) and all requested documentation (such as 1040s and W-2s -- please refer to application for details) and your check for the processing fee ($20) by Jan. 31 directly to their offices at the address provided on the application.
3) Complete separate applications for the Kenning, Walsheid, Lyons-Frebault or Smith scholarships and return them to the Guerin Prep High School business office by Jan. 31.

Other Sources of Assistance
HOLY CROSS EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND
The Holy Cross High School Alumni Education Endowment Fund was created to provide financial aid to needy students who were enrolled at Holy Cross High School. It is for a similar purpose that the funds were transferred to Guerin College Preparatory High School. The fund will provide several financial aid awards to families of financially needy male students who are enrolled and in good standing at Guerin Prep.
SAINT MOTHER THEODORE GUERIN LEGACY FUND
This fund builds on the legacy of one of our foundation schools, Mother Theodore Guerin High School, for whom our school is named, while also honoring the canonization of Mother Theodore as a Saint in the Catholic Church. This fund provides assistance to the neediest students attending Guerin Prep.
GUERIN PREP GENERAL ASSISTANCE FUND
Each year general assistance funds are awarded based on need, performance on the Entrance Exam and recommendation of the grade-school administrators.
FACULTY/STAFF DISCOUNT
Full-time faculty/staff members of Guerin Prep are eligible for a 50 percent reduction in tuition for their own children who choose to attend the school. Part-time/faculty /staff are eligible for a 25 percent discount.
GUERIN TUITION INSURANCE
The tuition obligation of a current student enrolled at Guerin will be assumed by the high school at the loss by death of the designated parent(s) or the designated legal guardian(s) responsible for tuition payments. A $50 fee is charged to cover parents or guardians. Only those parents or guardians designated as responsible for paying tuition on the registration form are eligible. The benefit takes effect on the date the next tuition payment is due for the student following the death of the parent/guardian responsible for the tuition payment.
STUDENT WORK PROGRAM
The school employs a limited number of students to assist in various capacities. Registered students may apply at the business office. A waiting list is maintained after all positions have initially been filled. Funds earned through the Student Work Program are applied to the tuition of the student.
TUITION TAX CREDIT
Families can also apply for a state income tax credit of up to $500 per family through filing of an annual income tax return.
